About Body by John
Body by John began while John Emond was overcoming a severe lower back injury. The intense rehabilitation process required inspired him to pursue a healthier and more active lifestyle which he soon found he wanted to share with others through education and training. John now trains a wide range of clients of all ages and fitness levels.
Central to the Body by John training model, active listening to clients and their goals and concerns has become crucial to a successful training plan. As a result, John offers experienced opinions and practical solutions on living more actively in spite of busy schedules and commitments.
John is extremely committed to his clients’ success and has proven himself as an active and creative motivator, even going so far as to give wake-up calls or to cook meals for clients to overcome excuses and eliminate the barriers to a new healthy lifestyle. John feels there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client change, both physically and in adapting to a healthier, happier way of life.
John enjoys working with kettlebells, a resistance training technique becoming more popular with trainers across the country. He also teaches spinning classes and runs a grueling but intensely rewarding boot camp and has developed a loyal following for his classes.
He has competed in several local bodybuilding competitions, placing 1st overall at the Vermont Supernatural 2004. Outside of the gym, John enjoys riding his Harley, hiking, Cycling and performing magic tricks for his friends and family.

Sarah is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and certified kettlebell instructor through BodybyJohn. Her passion for fitness is evident through the commitment and enthusiasm she provides for each one of her clients. She motivates and inspires beginners and advanced clients to live a happy & healthy lifestyle that allows them to have fun while doing it! Along with working one on one with clients to reach their goals, Sarah whips people into shape with her kettlebell and boot camp classes. She believes that with the right approach anyone can take charge of their goals and reach their ultimate fitness potential!
